Hong Kong is Chase's entry point into the realm of airport lounges, as the first-of-its-kind Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club opened at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) Terminal 1 in October 2022. This comes as Chase has partnered with Airport Dimensions to build its network of airport lounges. Further locations are expected to open, with most in the United States, including La Guardia (LGA), Boston (BOS), Washington-Dulles (IAD), and Las Vegas (LAS).

Location
This lounge is located in the West Hall of the Terminal 1 International Departures area near Gate 40. Take the elevator or escalator to the area where several other lounges are located. Guests flying from the East Hall can also take a shuttle or 15-minute walk to reach the area.
Entry
Holders of the Chase Sapphire Reserve card can access the lounge. Additionally, Priority Pass and LoungeKey members can also access the lounge.
Opening hours
From 13 Feb 2023, the opening hours will be from 07:00 to 0:00 daily.

Dining
There is a self-service buffet of salad and hot dishes, as well as a selection of mains and desserts that can be ordered online and delivered to the table.

The webpage to order food and drinks can be accessed by scanning the QR code at any desk in the dining area. The menu includes Wonton Noodle soup, Hong Kong-style Char Siu pork rice, and egg tarts. For guests with shorter connections, it would be more efficient to order the made-to-order dishes first before getting the self-service dishes.

A window seat facing the tarmac allows guests to see many Cathay Pacific aircraft, which mainly comprises of a modern A330, A350, and B777 fleet.

Drinking
A bar, separate from the dining area, is available for drinks. Apart from beer and wine, a cocktail menu is available and there is an extensive selection of alcohol on display.

Impressions
The lounge, at just a few months old, is shiny and new across its floor space. It offers a decent menu of food and drinks. The bar is beautiful. Access is easy, since it is not limited to Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders, but also to Priority Pass and LoungeKey members. This opening of Chase's first lounge brings much anticipation to the upcoming ones to be opened shortly.
