As Aloft's first hotel in Thailand, the Aloft Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 certainly lives up to its vibrant, eclectic, and youthful reputation. Importantly, as they say, it is infused with the DNA of W Hotels but without the same price tag. Open since 2011, this funky hotel has 296 comfortable loft-inspired rooms spread across 32 floors complete with a restaurant, bar, and pool.

Hotel location
The hotel is in the vibrant Soi 11 with is bustling with restaurants, bars, and clubs. In fact, Levels nightclub is in the same building as Aloft. Candy Club x BOBO, which opened near the end of 2022, is just across the street. Also appreciated is the 7-11 convenience store just a few steps away. The hotel is located about 500 metres into Soi 11 from the main Sukhumvit road.
Although the street can get congested, which makes it at times difficult for taxis to come in, traversing out into the main road will lead guests to the Nana BTS Skytrain station within 5 minutes. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk to the Terminal 21 mall (which has a very good food court named Pier 21) at Asok station. In the same vicinity of Aloft lies many other hotels including The Westin Grande Sukhumvit and Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit.

As one would expect from an Aloft, the interiors are colourful and energetic. The different facilities are given characteristic names, just like the Aloft hotels in
Bali,
Dubai, and elsewhere. For instance, the little grab-and-go market on the ground floor is called
re:fuel and offers light bites and drinks 24/7.

Rooms with city views on higher floors are sold at a premium. Also available are 1 Bedroom Junior Suite, 1 Bedroom Executive Suite, and 2 Bedroom Residential Suite.

Breakfast also takes place here. Breakfast time is 6am to 10.30am on weekdays, and 6am to 11am on weekends. This is a good breakfast with no shortage of options, including quite a tasty Thai noodle station. Marriott Bonvoy members Platinum and higher can either choose 500 points per stay or daily breakfast here; the latter is certainly the better option, especially on multi-night stays. Pool parties
Events are occasionally held, such as a full moon pool party at the splash pool during the new year's eve countdown to 2023. For THB 700 it includes one drink with a DJ line up and drag queen performances. Otherwise, Levels club is open 9pm to 2am except on Mondays, or the hotel can surely recommend something ...

Overall impression
Aloft Bangkok is located in a vibrant nightlife district full of bars and nightclubs (Levels club is just outside the hotel), making it a good choice for travellers who are here to party. And it draws a youthful crowd for the right reasons. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel has all the facilities a typical traveller would need, with good loyalty recognition. As a bonus, it offers a good price point relative to the 20+ Marriott properties in Bangkok.
